Setting Up an Email Account on Outlook #

To set up an email account on Outlook, follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2019.
2. Click on “File” > “Information” > “+ Add Account.”
3. Enter your email address and click on “Advanced Options.”
4. Select “Let me set up my account manually” and click “Connect.”
5. Choose your account type (IMAP or POP3).
6. For IMAP accounts, enter the incoming mail server as imap.ionos.com and the outgoing mail server as smtp.ionos.com. For POP3 accounts, enter the incoming mail server as pop.ionos.com and the outgoing mail server as smtp.ionos.com.
7. For IMAP accounts, in the Port (IMAP) field, enter port 993 and select SSL from the Encryption method list. For POP3 accounts, in the Port field, enter port 995 and select TLS from the Encryption method list.
8. In the Server field of the Outgoing Email section, enter the outgoing mail server as smtp.ionos.com and select TLS in the Encryption Method list.
9. In the Port field of the Outgoing Email section, enter port 587.
10. Click “Next” and enter your password.
11. Click “Connect” to test the account settings
